What is a PCO or PC?
A PCO is a Precinct Committee Officer
- are elected in even year primary elections or appointed by the county chair under advise and consent of the Legislative District (LD) Chair and after vetting.
- lives in the Precinct they represent,
- Are the conduit of information to and from the citizens and the party,
- Can vote for leadership of the county, state and national leadership,
- Can determine which candidates your party will support for local, state and national elections.
- Conducts Presidential Caucuses every 4 years.
- Can inspire better voter turnout. Many elections are lost by very slim margins.
- Every elected position from the least to the greatest can be influenced by citizens
A PC is a Precinct Captain
- A PC, is appointed not elected,
- A PC represent a precinct they do not live in the precinct they represent. PCs only limitation is they can't not vote for the county, state or national leadership but beyond that have the same rights and responsibilities as elected or appointed PCOs.
